Pharmacy Software Questions, Answered

  • Which pharmacy software does Positec work with?

Kroll, through Kroll2Way, and WinRx. With both, pick-up status syncs both ways between the dispensary and the till. With other systems, such as Propel Rx and Fillware, Finestra scans the prescription barcode at the till but does not update pick-up status.

  • Does Positec integrate with WinRx?

Yes. With WinRx, pick-up status syncs both ways and sales can optionally post to accounts receivable, at no extra cost. Once Finestra and WinRx are on the same network, setup usually takes a couple of days to coordinate between us and WinRx.

  • Does Positec work with Propel Rx?

At the till, yes: Finestra scans the prescription barcode. It does not update pick-up status in Propel Rx.

  • Does Positec work with Fillware?

At the till, yes: Finestra scans the prescription barcode. It does not update pick-up status in Fillware.

  • Do we need a Kroll API or anything extra from Kroll?

No. Kroll2Way needs only Kroll: there is nothing extra to buy from Kroll and no module to enable.

  • What does each integration cost?

Kroll2Way is $300 to set up, then $75 a month. The WinRx integration costs nothing extra. For Propel Rx, Fillware or anything else, ask us.

  • How long does setup take?

Kroll2Way is live about two weeks from the day you order. WinRx usually takes a couple of days to coordinate between us and WinRx, once Finestra and WinRx are on the same network.

  • Our pharmacy software isn’t listed. Will Finestra work with it?
