POSitec
is pleased to announce it’s latest version of the POSiPal handheld
portable PC. The new POSiPal is based on the strengths of the
Motorola MC55 and makes use of the Java platform running on the Windows
Mobile operating system. The new unit has all the same functionality of
the
previous POSiPal, including the ability to change prices,
create labels, setup ad-hoc promotions, adjust inventory and perform
physical inventory. As before, the unit offers two modes of
operation, one for handling batch processes such as inventory
cycle counts and the second allows a "manager on floor" to perform
varrious inventory functions as they walk the store. The new unit
adds a full alpha (QWERTY)
keyboard that allows for faster entry of product descriptions.
POSiPal's wireless cababilites allows for instantanious updating
of inventory.
